We started in the commercial refrigeration industry, manufacturing the insulated panels used to build walk-in coolers and freezers, and commercial refrigeration remains our focus today.

Over the years, we have expanded manufacturing to include the R-Plus Doors product line, a very successful product line used by many manufacturers and a leader in replacement doors. A second product line expansion is currently underway for our Super Insulated Structures: buildings engineered to withstand the most extreme temperature and weather conditions on earth, and perform as cold storage facilities, controlled scientific environments, pharmaceutical and chemical storage, food processing plants, or any number of other uses.

We are an ESOP company started over 35 years ago by Al Zell, who maintained single ownership for many years. As an ESOP, every person working in the company participates in company success and that participation shows daily in the pride we take in each product we deliver. We also have a fierce loyalty to our customers and we work hard to ensure they receive the finest product, whether it’s a refrigeration system, a replacement door or a home to shelter their family. We are rewarded through our customers’ comments on their satisfaction with our work.

Our company pride extends into our community. We participate in community efforts such as the Carefree Commuter Challenge where 21 employees participated by changing their commutes to use a combination of public and other low-energy use forms of transportation. In 2007, four employees won awards for exemplary participation, including the company president. We followed up the community Challenge with a company-sponsored Bicycle Challenge the following month.
